In signing up on Goodreads, all I want is to have a virtual bookshelf on which I can express my opinions and recommendations about the wouldn’t-regret-reading books. Just a few hours before Christmas, I explored the site and found many goodreads book giveaways. I joined in as much as possible time permits.
I’m not sure what happened then. It’s unlikely for me to join a contest and most of all it’s unlikely for me to win at all.
But I did join and I must admit that I do want to win—and on Christmas I received an email saying that I was chosen to receive a copy of Lost Angel Walkabout.
It’s hard to give books as present unless you know the person too well. But in winning the giveaway that I definitely signed up for, I couldn’t help but to be ecstatic. I get to read the book and write a review, two things I can do in one’s accord with gusto.
I’ll be expecting the book delivery by the end of the month. While waiting, I’ll keep on reading and joining the Goodreads book giveaways. And you should try it too.
If you’re residing in USA or Canada, you can most likely join most of the giveaways. For the rest, read the qualifications; don’t be discouraged because there are many fiction and non-fiction books to choose from.
If you already won just like me, I congratulate you. If you’re joining for the first time or joining the contest has become your habit, just like me, good luck and keep on reading.
Lastly, you may add me as a friend and we can share reviews and encourage each other to accomplish the 2013 Reading Challenge.
